This Is My Life...

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado... just your everyday Colorado girl, I hate the snow, love the summers, don't appreciate the mountains, and I'm infatuated with all things beach and ocean!  But a lot of us true Colorado girls feel the same way.  Growing up I was a hard-core gymnast until a career ending shoulder injury knocked out my gold medal dreams at the ripe old age of 12.  After this I put my focus on rhythmic gymnastics and spent several years as a top national contender there.  During  my high school years I was a varsity cheerleader, until I gave competition a rest and moved onto the college world.  I graduated top honors with a BA in Developmental Psychology emphasising in elementary ed. and although I loved it... I ended up managing a bank within months of finishing college- so is life I guess!  I began fitness and figure competitions with the NPC in June of 2004, while still in college at the age of 21.  I immediately fell in love with it and found that it was the only thing that could feel the competitive void I had in my life.  In 2005 I turned pro and made history by earning pro cards in two divisions, fitness and figure!!! Wow! Sometimes life just moves so fast and takes you to these places you never dreamed of. Now I am beginning a new chapter of my life... Last year I married my high school sweetheart and love of my life, and started my transition into Professional Athlete!  So now, at the age of 24 I am still a newlywed, working my up the corporate ladder, and working my way up the IFBB ranks. Like I said, life moves fast but I am excited and honored to be a part of this incredible ride!
